Black Student Union Vice President Job Description

The Black Student Union (BSU) Vice President is elected at large by the student body to assist the BSU President with BSU meetings and activities.

Eligibility Requirements

  • Must be enrolled as a full-time student (minimum of 12 credit hours) at Illinois State University.
  • Must be in good academic (2.0/4.0 GPA) and disciplinary standing.
  • Must have completed at least 30 semester hours at Illinois State.
  • Must not anticipate graduation prior to May of the academic year being served.
  • Must have a letter of recommendation from the BSU President or Vice President on file with the Student Elections Committee.
  • Must have served for at least one semester on the BSU Executive Board.
