Student elections begin at 8am april 1 and end at 5pm april 2.

Candidate Information Sessions

According to the Student Elections Code, all students interested in seeking elected office under the jurisdiction of the Student Elections Committee must attend a Candidate Information Session. All students interested in pursuing elected office must attend one Candidate Information Session.  Each session will provide candidates with the following:

  • Explanation of theStudent Elections Code and other elections rules and procedures governing campaigning activities
  • Orientation to the eligibility requirements and job descriptions of the Elected Offices
  • Timeline for the remainder of the student elections process
  • Question and answer period with members of SGA, ARH, BSU, and the Student Elections Committee
  • Petitions for candidacy

Information Sessions Schedule

  • Monday, February 25, 6pm-7pm - Student Services Building (SSB) 314
  • Tuesday, February 26, 5pm-6pm - Student Services Building (SSB) 314
  • Thursday, February 28, 8pm-9pm - Student Services Building (SSB) 304

Exceptions

If you are a student who is interested in pursuing elected office but are unable to attend any of the Information Sessions, the Student Elections Committee may grant special permission for alternate arrangements.  Students that must request special permission must contact the Student Elections Manager in order to complete the Student Elections Committee Request for Consideration form.
