RSO Student Data Request

Registered student organizations have the ability to contact current students regarding membership in their organization by a service provided through the Student Involvement Center unit. There are two methods for distributing the organization’s message: e-mail or a mailing.

RSOs must complete the following steps to send a message:

  1. Download and complete the Request for Student Data form and RSO Recruitment Email Template (fill in highlighted sections only).
  2. to studentorganizations@ilstu.edu the RSO Recruitment Email Template form or deliver a copy of the mailing to the Student Involvement Center.
  3. Pay the processing fee* at the Dean of Students Business Office (BSC 139).
  4. Submit the Request for Student Data form to the Student Involvement Center with advisor’s signature and the receipt of fee payment at least five business days in advance of intended send date. Plan for more time to send out a mailing. After the Request for Student Data form and copy of the mailing are submitted to the SIC, it can take up to a week to receive approval for the mailing and the quantity of recipients. Printing, preparation for mailing and submittal of printed pieces to the SIC could take up to another week before the full mailing is sent.

Once the email or mailing is sent, the contact for the project will be notified.
