Issues handled most frequently by Legal Services involve concerns with landlord/tenant matters including evictions, security deposits, subleasing, and substandard housing. The office also provides guidance with traffic, DUI, and other ordinance violation charges. Assistance is also available with matters involving consumer complaints, domestic violence, "lemon laws," deceptive trade practices, wrongful termination, cellular phone billing, discrimination, sexual harassment, and more. Legal Services does not handle disputes involving the University, legal conflicts between students, or situations that relate to a private, profit-making activity.
