Listed below are important dates and deadlines for registered student organizations (RSOs).

August

• Complete Festival ISU application and submit to the University Program Board

• RSO Registration opens - attend RSO Orientation and complete online process

• Prepare for Festival ISU – first Thursday of classes at 10am

• Set date & time for the first meeting; reserve a room

• Attend Festival ISU

• Follow-up with potential members from Festival ISU and invite them to first meeting

• Establish a meeting time for the semester (for both executive and general members, if needed)

• Opportunity Fund opens

September

• Last chance to complete online RSO Registration and/or attend RSO Orientation Session

• Turn in signature pages

• Fall RSO Registration closes (for two weeks)

• Put semester calendar together for the RSO & distribute to members

• Recruit additional members, if needed

• Complete Festival ISU application and submit to the University Program Board

• Complete Homecoming Team application

October

• Participate in Homecoming

• Attend RSO Training Workshop or request a training by the Honorary Student Involvement Association (HSIA)

• Enjoy Family Weekend

• RSO Registration reopens

November

• Begin brainstorming with members about events for the upcoming year in preparation for the RSO Program Fund opening in December
• Prepare for elections and officer transitions if elections are approaching

December

• Hold final meeting of the semester
• Finalize plans and events for January and February
• Prepare budget and request for the RSO Program Fund
• RSO Program Fund opens at 12 p.m.

January

• Complete Winterfest application and submit to the University Program Board

• Attend Winterfest

• Think about fundraising ideas

• RSO Program Fund closes at 3 p.m.

• Put semester calendar together for the RSO & distribute to members

• Turn in signature pages, if new officers have been elected

February

• Follow-up with potential members from Winterfest and invite them to meeting
• Attend Program Fund Hearing
• Attend RSO Training Workshop or request a training by HSIA

March

• Prepare for Springfest Attend RSO Training Workshop or request a training by HSIA

• Nominate members/RSO for Student Involvement Recognition Ceremony

April

• Opportunity Fund closes

• Prepare for elections and officer transitions if elections are approaching

• Complete Springfest application and submit to the University Program Board

• Attend Springfest

May

• Follow-up with potential members from Springfest and invite them to meeting

• Recognize members  for their contributions by holding recognition or awards ceremony

• RSO Registration closes for the year
