Posting Guidelines
Fliers posted on campus should meet the following conditions:
- The flier is printed on recycled paper and contains the recycling logo along with the statement, “Printed on recycled paper.”
- If the flier is for an event, it contains the following statement, “If you need a special accommodation to participate in this program or event, please contact (name and host department) at (phone number/voice). Please allow sufficient time to arrange the accommodation.”
- Fliers are not taped to sidewalks, trees, walls, art work, etc.
- Some buildings on campus have additional guidelines that are listed below:
Bone Student Center
- All materials must be approved by BSC/BA/BBC staff.
- Materials for display in BSC can be dropped off for approval at the InfoCentre; Materials to be used in the Bowling and Billiards Center must be submitted to the Bowling and Billiards Office.
- A contact person and phone number must be written on the back if not included in text of poster.
- Materials will be posted on the bulletin boards by BSC/BA/BBC staff, one per floor (Two total).
- Maximum measurements are no more than 14x22 inches for sign standards, and 17x24 for bulletin boards.
- Materials must be printed on recycled paper with recycled logo showing.
- Materials must contain the University accommodations statement (“If you need a special accommodation to fully participate in this program/event, please contact [name, host organization] at [phone number]. Please allow sufficient time to arrange the accommodation.”)
- Materials may not display profanity or alcohol/substance abuse products or advertisement.
- Each poster may be displayed no more than two weeks.
- Items and programs advertised or sold may not be in conflict with existing lease contracts in Bone Student Center.

Posting Guidelines for the College of Business Building
Posting of fliers and information announcements requires prior approval of the College of Business Dean’s Office, room 401.
Approved items will be stamped and dated prior to posting by staff.
Areas available for posting:
- Classrooms: Bulletin board strips in classrooms are reserved exclusively for academic related announcements from the COB Dean’s Office, departments, and the Advising Center. No other information will be allowed for posting in classrooms.
- Atrium–First–Floor–Sign Standards: Two sign standards are available to post information about events. Posting is limited to the day prior to, and the day of the event. Items submitted for posting should be vertical in black text on white paper and measure 8.5”x11”. Items posted on this level will be an academic nature, student organizations, and/or career related.
- Atrium–Lower–Levels Easels: Two easels are available to post information signs. Posting is limited to no more than one week. Items submitted for posting should measure no larger than 24”x28”. Items posted on easels will be of an academic nature, student organization, and/or career related.
- Atrium–Lower–Level–Bulletin Boards: Two bulletin boards are available for general posting. Posting is limited to no more than two weeks. Items submitted for posting should measure no larger than 8.5”x5.5” (half letter size). Items submitted for posting should be of interest to College of Business students and reflect the mission and Standards for Professional Behavior outlined by the College of Business.
- Atrium- Lower Level- Bulletin Boards (glass enclosed): One glass enclosed bulletin board is available to post information about events. Posting is reserved exclusively for current events in the building and for activities of an academic nature, student organization, and/or career related. Items submitted for posting should measure 8.5”x11”.
