Trick or Treat for Change is a service project held on October 31 in which volunteers dress in costume and "trick-or-treat" for monetary donations from residents in the Bloomington-Normal community. All proceeds go to the Habitat for Humanity Illinois State University/Illinois Wesleyan University chapter to helps local families build their own homes. This popular event now has over 500 students participating and has raised over $13,000 during the 2008 event.
