Alternative Breaks Policies and Payment

Policies

Alternative Breaks participants are required to adhere to the following policies:

Payments

Alternative Spring Break

Costs include transportation to and from the designated city and throughout the trip, lodging, most meals, t-shirt, and educational and orientation activities before and after the trip. Multiple fundraising opportunities are provided to reduce expenses. Contact the fundraising chair for more information. Participants who have dropped out must drop before February 1 to receive a refund of the last payment made.

Cost for student participants

  • Non-refundable application deposit - $5 due with application
  • First installment payment - $50
  • Second installment payment - $50
  • Third installment payment - $50
  • Fourth installment payment - $50

    TOTAL: $205

Cost for executive board participants and trip leaders

  • First installment payment - $40
  • Second installment payment - $40
  • Third installment payment - $40
  • Fourth installment payment - $30

    TOTAL: $150

Cost for trip advisors

  • First installment payment - $25
  • Second installment payment - $25
  • Third installment payment - $25

    TOTAL: $75

Payments should be submitted to the Dean of Students Business Office located on the first floor of the Bone Student Center. For questions about payments, contact the Membership Chairperson.

Alternative Winter Break

Costs include transportation to and from the designated country and throughout the trip, lodging, most meals, t-shirt, and educational and orientation activities before and after the trip. Multiple fundraising opportunities are provided to reduce expenses. Contact Leadership & Service for more information.

  • Pre-summer deposit - $100
  • First installment payment - $300
  • Second installment payment - $600
  • Third installment payment - $320

Total: $1320*

*Expenses for winter break may vary from year to year
