Alternative Break Policies and Payment

Policies participants must follow

• Illinois State University Student Code of Conduct
• Illinois State University Policies and Regulations
• AB Alcohol and Drug Free Policy
• Remain on the site for the duration of break
• Participate in all of the activities to best of his or her abilities

Payments

• Average cost to participate - $205
• Average cost for site facilitators - $150
• Average cost for faculty/staff participants - $75
• Costs include: transportation to and from the site, lodging, meals, Alternative Break t-shirt, and educational and orientation activities before and after the trip.
• Participants are not required to make payment in full at one time. Payments are divided throughout a year period.
• Alternative Break provides fundraising opportunities to help participants with the expense.
• Participant Payment Schedule: takes place monthly beginning in October with $10 payment and completed application.
• Should a participant be unable to attend a trip for any reason, only the last deposit made will be refunded.
