The Student Volunteer Center, a part of Leadership & Service, a unit of the Dean of Students Office, provides you with an opportunity to help spread the spirit of the holiday season and meet needs in the community. Holiday Helper is a special program where members of the Illinois State community choose to "adopt" an underprivileged child within the Bloomington-Normal community by purchasing gift items from a wish list. In addition to the gift collection, holiday parties also are organized by the Student Volunteer Center to distribute the gifts.
Holiday Helper is coordinated through a collaboration with the Boys & Girls Club, Western Avenue Community Center, and Catholic Charities.
