National Conferences

Are you a student leader looking to develop your leadership skills? The Dean of Students Office works with a number of national conferences to help you get the tools you need to succeed and to begin affecting change.

Southwestern Black Student Leadership Conference (SBSLC)
Texas A&M University, College Station, TX

This conference promises a fun-filled weekend for students of color to develop self-improvement techniques, leadership skills, and provide an opportunity to network with students from across the country. Through attending workshops and listening to esteemed keynote speakers, students who attend SBSLC will examine problems and concerns facing the Black Community and become motivated to address those issues when they return to their community. SBSLC hopes to empower and inspire students to become leaders of the future!

Arizona Collegiate Leadership Conference (ACLC)
University of Arizona, Tucson, AZ

ACLC is a student-run nonprofit organization that brings together students and leaders from diverse backgrounds to learn leadership skills, cultivate social responsibility, break down leadership barriers, and to adopt leadership as a way of life. The conference extends beyond the conventional definitions of leadership. It is designed to help students tap into and expand their leadership potential in addition to helping them grow personally and professionally. The conference will offer students the opportunity to network, engage in open forum discussions, and address contemporary issues affecting their campus, the community, and the nation.
